So, last Thursday Chris and I had a ultrasound to see how big Maddox was at 38 weeks. The Leonard family has been known to produce big babies and I was afraid Maddox was following in his father’s footsteps. So, it was no surprise when they told us he was already measuring at 9 lbs.
After the ultrasound was done we then went and visited with my doctor to see what the game plan was. As soon as she looked at the chart she started laughing. She said that she really did not think he was going to be that big. She said the safest way to get him out was by C-section. After discussing this with her we agreed, so the latest Maddox will be making his grand entrance will be 2/10/11 (the date the c-section is scheduled).
Since we have a date and it is in just a couple of days, Chris and I have been in overdrive trying to get everything prepared for the big day. We have been cleaning the house, getting our bags packed and we just completed the nursery.
Today my neighbor and upcoming professional photographer came and took some pictures of the nursery and did maternity pictures. She is so talented as you can see from her blog. She still has to edit the pictures and she said that that could take a couple of days so I broke out my camera to give you a seek peek.
I am not kidding when I say I love this room. I had a vision and it is not exactly what I wanted but I love it.
His crib. I painted his initials on canvas (Maddox Ryan Leonard).
Changing table and toy box. Oh and the big screen TV my husband had to have. Haha.
Picture of his bedding that I had made and love.
The other painting I made. I love this saying and when I saw it on line I knew it had to be in his room.
His toy box.
The cute banner that his Aunt Jessi made him for the baby shower. It looks so cute over the TV.
His closet.
As you can see, Chris and I have been busy. I guess my next blog entry will be me showing off my son. It’s crazy to think he will be here in less than a week.
I will have to stay in the hospital for 3 days at least so as soon as I get out I will post pictures. I will also post maternity pictures.
So, next time I talk to you I will be a mother. How exciting.
